Goals of the Conference
The Annual Life Sciences Career Development Conference is
the premier event in New York State for graduate students and post
doctoral fellows interested in pursuing careers in the life sciences
industry. The goals of this conference are to:
• Expand the knowledge and
understanding of the variety of career paths in the life sciences
industry.
• Increase communication and forge
a formal linkage between New York's graduate student and post doctoral
population and New York's life sciences industry for the purpose
of fueling industry growth.
About the Conference organizer
The Conference is organized by the Center for Biotechnology, A NYSTAR
designated Center for Advanced Technology. Strategic initiatives
that create infrastructure for broad-based industry development
have been a cornerstone of the Center's success. The Conference
is part of the Center's comprehensive Workforce Development Initiative
that seeks to address the current and future education and training
needs of New York's life sciences industry to foster the growth
of the life sciences industry in New York. The Center for Biotechnology
is proud to present this Conference in partnership with The City
University of New York ( CUNY), the host institution for this premier
New York event.
