Faculty
The Center is in a strategic alliance with the Department of Biomedical Engineering (BME) at Stony Brook University (http://bme.sunysb.edu/bme/). BME has a strong and extensive tradition in biomedical engineering, with faculty involved in cutting edge research in the areas of musculoskeletal and cardiac biomechanics, biomaterials, bioinstrumentation, tissue engineering, medical imaging and computational biology.
This alliance will promote the integration of the physical sciences with life sciences and expand significantly the Center’s expertise in imaging, bioinformatics, biomaterials, instrumentation, biomechanics and functional genomics.
